GAELSCOIL EOGHAN U´I THUAIRISC

During April 2010 a new Visual Art Initiative took place in Gaelscoil Eoghan Uí Thuairisc, Carlow.

The programme aimed to at
- nurture in the children and the wider school community, a love of art
- enhance the visual environment of the school
- support and compliment the visual arts education of the children and the
wider school community
- support artists and artmaking
- establish links with local and national visual arts organistations, curators and galleries.

Art to Heart participated in the programme delivering the “Working With Children Through Arts” training course for the teachers in the school.
The Visual Art Initiateive was curated by arts practitioner Sharon Murphy.
